Message from our Headteacher

Dear Parents, Carers and Families

Welcome to Stradbroke Primary School's website. We hope that you find it easy to navigate around and can find all of the information you need as well as examples of fantastic learning. Here at Stradbroke, we are proud of the fabulous learning which takes place and we endeavour to give our children the most unforgettable and inspiring curriculum possible, constantly striving to ensure that all of our children enjoy themselves on a daily basis whilst fulfilling their potential to become lifelong learners. You can read our latest Ofsted report from November 2016 here.

Once again this year the teachers have many memorable opportunities planned for our children as we continue our aim to make learning hands-on, engaging and inspirational. As identified by Ofsted, our curriculum is 'broad and exciting' as all year groups get to experience fascinating visits to places such as the National Space Centre, Murton Park, Yorkshire Wildlife Park and even Pizza Express, to name but a few already in the diary for this year and many more. We also take both our Y2 and Y6 children away on unforgettable residential visits to build character and forge everlasting bonds. We believe that this culminates with lasting memories and high-quality learning as well as excellent outcomes for all of our children.

Everyone at Stradbroke works collaboratively to ensure that all our children are happy, safe and aspire to be the best that they can and we thank all of our parents and guardians for your support in helping us to achieve this.

Check through our Twitter feed on the left of this page to celebrate some of the outstanding learning which takes place here at Stradbroke.

We would welcome any positive feedback or suggestions to help develop our website further.

Thank You and Best Wishes

John Sitch - Headteacher

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to everybody returning from what has been months of uncertainty and a huge interruption to all of our daily lives.

We are so pleased to finally be able to open school back up to everybody and get back to some semblance of normality, as I'm sure most of you are as well.

It has been brilliant to see so many children return to school. Attendance has been excellent so far!

Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians,

We are pleased to inform you that national guidance, at present, confirms that ALL children can return to school from September, all being well. I am sure that this news will come as welcome relief to many of you; however, for some this may increase your levels of anxiety.

Therefore, I will try to answer as many questions as I can at this moment in time in order to ease your concerns and ensure you as best as I can about the mitigation in place to protect everybody using the building and the premises.

My letter, issued 13th July, covers frequently asked questions and is available to download:
