Hello Boys and Girls. Hope you had fun safely celebrating VE weekend? This week's quiz and activities are based on the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson. A special mention to Rosa for learning to ride her bike without stabilisers, fantastic job!

We are missing you all lots. Stay safe!

W/C 20th April

Below are a number of Phase 1 Phonics challenges for your child to have a go at. Don't be worried about them finding it a little tricky at first, this is ok and shows they are learning. Revisiting the activities several times will build their confidence and help to consolidate the learning. Most importantly have fun with it and keep it active, do them indoors or outdoors.

Stay home, stay safe and protect the NHS.

Join Leanne and her two little ducklings at 1.30pm on Tuesday the 21st April as they read Duck in the Truck. This cautionary tale of Duck and his farmyard friends is a great advert for car breakdown...

W/C 13th April

A big hello to all the Nursery children! Firstly I just wanted to say that all the adults in Nursery are missing you lots and hope you are keeping safe and having lots of fun at home. We hope you enjoyed your Easter Weekend and got lots of chocolate too, yummy!

WOW! Summer term is here already. I'm sure that you will have already seen some of the suggested daily schedules online, but just in case I have added one to our web page. This is a guide only and can be as flexible as you need it to be. These are particularly great for children with Special Educational Needs who can find a routine calming and help to keep their 'emotional and anxiety' levels lower, especially in these confusing times.

As your children are still young it is important that they have lots of opportunity to learn through play, this can be free play (child led) or purposely planned play (adult led activities). To help with this I will be adding activities that can be complete inside, in the garden, or whilst you are out for your daily exercise. Most importantly have fun and keep safe.

Don't forget to tweet your home learning @StradbrokeFS. Best Wishes.

Miss Spick and the Nursery team.
