Home Learning During School Closure

To support parents / children during any period of closure as a result of coronavirus, we have provided some Home Learning Packs for each year group.

This page will be continuously updated throughout any period of closure.

Year 6 Home Learning

While the school remains closed, this page will be updated with activities and tasks to enable you to continue your learning and education at home. There will be tasks set every week covering a range of subjects across the curriculum.

We would love to see how you are getting on at home so please tweet us pictures of your learning to the Year 6 page - @Y6Stradbroke or @StradbrokePE.

All the best and stay safe!

Mr Mills and Mr Bavington

Week Commencing 13/07/2020

Dear Y6, For the final week, we would like you to share a few things with us:

  • Home learning that you have completed during lockdown (pictures, videos, writing);
  • Positive memories of your time at home (more exercise, more time spent with your families);
  • Your favourite memories of your time at Stradbroke and what you will miss about it;
  • Anything else you would like to tell us!

You can put these on Twitter, or email to enquiries@stradbroke.sheffield.sch.uk

Also, don't forget about the pizza and ice cream party on Friday - a final chance to get together!

Update: 24/04/20: Dear Y6, I hope you are all well and that your families are also well and safe during these strange times!

There are some excellent resources being produced at the moment which will help to keep your brains active during this period. Below are a couple of examples from https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize this week. There are daily lessons in Maths, English and many of the foundation subjects. These are aimed at Y6 but - as you will see on the site - you can select from any year group.

The National Academy are also producing sequences of lessons in Maths, English and the foundation subjects. These are actual video lessons which work through units of work so it would be wise to follow the lessons in the order they appear on the site.
Here is the link to the Y6 area:

Again, you could access other year groups, if necessary.

If you have any questions, please get in touch. Also, let us know how you're getting on by posting on Twitter!

Hopefully, we will see you soon!

Mr Bavington and Mr Mills.
